Bowling Fundraiser - April 14, 2012 9:30 PM

We are hosting a Scotch Double Bowling Night at Park Centre Lanes, Whipple Ave, North Canton, OH.  Proceeds to benefit Our Troops, Our Veterans and Our Wounded Heroes.  There are several ways you can help !!  Sponsor a Lane for $100, or Donate items or gift certificates to be put in our Silent Auction and Raffle Baskets. 

Come Join us for a fun night  of drawings and good company.  $40 per couple includes food.

Operation Shoebox

 Blue Star Mothers  works in conjunction with the USO to send care packages to the troops stationed overseas  throughout the year. The care packages we send mean so much to our troops. They offer a little piece of home, comfort, and fun to those serving in far away (and often hostile) places. To continue this wonderful service, we rely solely on the generosity of the community in order to reach out to as many troops as possible. You can help us support the troops by donating items for our care packages. We accept donations any time during the year. We also accept donations for the shipping costs.  Any size donation is greatly appreciated.

 

Gold Star Parents Day

The Blue Star Mothers of American, Chapter 2, held our first  Gold Star Parents’ Day on Saturday, April 18, 2009.   It was our privilege to honor the parents of our military men and women making the ultimate sacrifice for their country.  We would like to extend an invitation to the next event to all Ohio Gold Star Parents.  If you know of a Gold Star Parent, please send their name and address to bjs220@aol.com.  If you would like to contribute in some way to help make this a very special event, please contact us.   

 

Letters and Notes to the Troops

You can support Operation Post Card by writing notes, postcards, or letters with positive and encouraging messages for our troops around the world. Please send your notes of encouragement (which will be included in our care packages) to us at the address on our contact page or contact us and we will make arrangements to get them.

Mouthwash (travel size/no glass)

Dental floss

Chapstick

Shaving cream (travel size)

Eye drops

Ear drops

Sunscreen - in the summer

Bug Spray (OFF Deep Woods towelettes)

Toilet paper (single rolls or travel size)

 

Food, Snack items

 Tuna, Vienna sausages, sardines, etc (small cans)

Dry powder drink mixes (small or individual)

Peanut Butter/jelly (small/no glass)

Any type small can goods

Tea bags (all varieties), coffee packs/bags (individual)

Fruit snacks (Roll-ups, raisins, dried fruits (small) etc.)

Peanuts, trail mix, etc (small packs)
